Immigrants memories and solidary projects in France and Algeria (2001-2002)

Remembering to build a better future

Implemented in partnership with the Association CLEF, based on research into the history of Algerian immigration, this initiative aimed to foster solidarity projects between France and Algeria.

“Memory” workshops, bringing together first- and second-generation Algerian migrants, led to the creation of a board game on immigration journeys and the publication of a book presenting immigrants' life stories (Algérie France. Deux terres. Mémoires pour demain - Editions Macadam & Cie).

In a second phase, based on the projects that emerged from the “Memory” workshops, a mission to Algeria enabled participants to develop economic and cultural projects linked to their country of origin.
