For one week, 12 young peer educators from Burkina Faso, French Guiana, Madagascar, Chad, and Togo gathered in Lomé as part of the PADSSR.

Through discussions, workshops, and meetings, they shared their practices, created new awareness-raising tools, and experimented with different ways to spread messages about sexual and reproductive health.

In Vietnam, students are working to make topics related to sexual and reproductive health more accessible and easier to discuss. Among the initiatives: “Unlock Your Body”, an educational game designed to help students learn about and discuss the body, puberty, and sexual and reproductive health. The game offers several formats, including Body Race, Body Link, and Body Decode.

Since 2025, Hafida has been participating in a goat-raising project in Morocco. Although she initially joined the project to expand her business, she now speaks of changes that go beyond livestock farming: women coming together, helping one another, and gaining confidence.

At a time when international solidarity is increasingly being called into question, nearly 200 organizations united under Coordination SUD are launching “Le fil de notre avenir.” This campaign serves as a reminder that development cooperation is a legacy, a collective strength, and a choice for the future. BATIK International is proud to join this effort.

As part of the Let’s Bet on Equality project, BATIK International supported the teams at the NGO Concept in Dakar to strengthen the integration of gender issues into their activities and operations. A week of collaborative work was dedicated to developing tools, sharing best practices, and embedding this approach sustainably within the organization.

On June 6 and 7, young people from Tunisia and Vietnam met online as part of the Program to Support Sexual and Reproductive Rights and Health (PADSSR). Organized by the Tunisian Forum for Youth Empowerment (TFYE) and BATIK Vietnam, this intercultural exchange seminar allowed participants·to share their experiences and learn about initiatives in their countries promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights.

BATIK International and its European partners have come together to collaboratively develop more inclusive tools and methods to support young people on their path to empowerment. A few weeks later, three young people from Marseille participated in the “Youth Voices from Rural Europe” event at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, where they presented recommendations based on their own realities and experiences.
Two key moments that illustrate the project’s ambition: empowering young people and promoting more inclusive participation in decision-making forums across Europe.

At the Moulin Butin farm, Adel, Issa, Murtaza, and Samiullah spent a few days immersing themselves in working the land, communal living, and discovering rural life in France. Designed as spaces for hospitality, connection, and knowledge-sharing, these stays contribute to the well-being and empowerment of the refugees hosted there.

In New York, the 70th Commission on the Status of Women marked a decisive shift in global negotiations on gender equality.

Focused on women’s and girls’ access to justice, the session was defined by unusually high tensions, exposing just how strong the pushback against feminist progress has become.

Amid these debates, Batik International played a strategic role: defending ambitious positions, amplifying the voices of its partners, and insisting on the urgent need to secure real, enforceable rights for all. Between forced setbacks, hard‑won gains, and strengthened alliances, this edition has redrawn the balance multilateral engagement.
