A safe space for Ouarzazate's women breeders
In Ouarzazate, BATIK International co-facilitated participatory workshops with women farmers on self-esteem, mental workload and the often invisible issues they deal with on a daily basis. In collaboration with the Rosa association and Elevages sans Frontiere, these exchange sessions enabled us to gain a better understanding of their needs and lay the foundations for more appropriate and sustainable support.
Eco-places committed to welcoming migrants
Since October, BATIK has been going out to meet committed citizens of the rural world who want to welcome us for our immersion days.
Along the way, we met Stéphanie and Gaelle, guardians of their incredible Norman co-lieu "Les Terres de l'Être" proposing various activities;s, dedicated to the mental health of all, and wishing to accommodate refugees for future immersion stays.
This month, in the same venue, they enabled BATIK to run a information workshop on the challenges of migration; The workshop was aimed at future host families, to help them better understand the needs of the refugees they will be hosting on their farms.
BATIK thanks them again for their participation and commitment!
